Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers'
C.A.R.E.'s 2019 Strategic Plan defines the direction of C.A.R.E. by establishing its goals and objectives relative to the position of the association within the vacation industry. It should also assist in sustaining C.A.R.E.’s vision and carry out its mission of providing ethical and outstanding vacation services by providing education and networking opportunities.
The plan further sets forth the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (S.W.O.T.) that would affect C.A.R.E. and is followed by a statement of goals, objectives, and strategies. The plan concludes with the development of an action plan which sets forth specific objectives and actions to be initiated and concluded throughout the year. We encourage you to review the plan in full, or at a minimum, any one of the smaller (derivative) documents we’ve posted for your convenience below.
In the development of the plan, C.A.R.E.’s Strategic Planning Committee (chaired by the President) has reviewed multiple industry resources and publications such as: ARDA International Foundation’s (AIF) State of the Vacation Timeshare Industry-Executive Summary, the AIF Next Generation Study and the Association of Vacation Owners' (AVO) / Intuition Brand Marketing’s Timeshare Owners Study in addition to general vacation data gleaned from several online sources, all of which are documented and recognized in the plan where applicable.
The plan should be considered an overview of the vacation industry focusing primarily on the United States and includes summaries of global economic factors, demographics, social trends, industry issues and competition. The plan is not intended as a commentary on any individual C.A.R.E. member company, whose practices and performance may vary from the information included herein.
